Day 1: Arrival in Tokyo

Upon arrival at Narita Airport, meet your guides and transfer by subway to the Tokyo Prince Hotel, a short walk from the magnificent glowing red Tokyo Tower. Enjoy a complimentary buffet-style dinner featuring a wide array of Japanese culinary delights before retiring to your room to refresh from your flight. Note: depending on your departure city, you will likely need to plan your departure for the day before arrival.

Day 2: Tokyo Treasures

Grab a photo op beneath the giant red lantern at the entrance to Senso-Ji Temple before exploring this fascinating complex. Pick up some souvenirs at the stalls on the ancient Nakamise Dori shopping street. Once inside the temple area, take in the ornate pagoda and learn about traditional cultures, such as incense burning, fortune telling, and wish tying. You can even try on a kimono! Progress to the renowned Shibuya Crossing and feel a rush of exhilaration as you weave through the busiest pedestrian intersection in the world. Take respite with a bento box picnic at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. See how Japanese teens spend their time on Takeshita Street before enjoying a unique Teppanyaki dinner, then ride to the top of the Tokyo Tower for an unforgettable view of the night skyline.

Day 3: Majestic Mt. Fuji

Travel by deluxe coach to the 5th Station of miraculous Mt. Fuji! After time to take in the grand views, enjoy a lunch buffet with local fresh food, ride on a sky gondola, and feel the breeze from a Lake Ashi cruise on a spectacular ancient-style sailboat. Return to Tokyo by train and spend the evening experiencing Japanese karaoke in Roppongi.

Day 4: Ride the Bullet Train

Earn a tick on your bucket list by speeding to Nagoya on the cutting-edge Shinkansen train. You'll feel like you're floating as this magnetic wonder whisks you across the Japanese countryside to your destination. After checking in at the lovely Nikko Style Nagoya Hotel, you'll have the evening free to relax or wander.

Day 5: A Taste of Nagoya

Immerse yourself in Nagoya life as one of the teachers from the Nagoya International School leads us through top spots in the city, including Nagoya Castle, Nagoya City Science Museum, Osu Shopping Street and Tokugawa Park. Now is your chance to ask our local American expat guide about what it's like to live and work in Japan. Finish the day with an unforgettable experience where you'll participate in a Taiko drumming circle.

Day 6: Day Trip to Kyoto

Take a train ride to marvelous Kyoto, where you'll breathe in the atmosphere of ancient Japan, including the Geisha District, the Bamboo Forest Trail, the golden Kinkaku JiTemple and the 1,000 orange gates of the Fushimi Inari Shrine. Return to Nikko Style Nagoya Hotel to pack for your journey back to Tokyo.

Day 7: Return to Tokyo

After a farewell breakfast in Nagoya, levitate by Shinkansen train to the Nikko Airport Hotel and enjoy the pool, spa, and other amenities before preparing for tomorrow's flight home with a pocketful of memories, a suitcase of souvenirs, and a refreshed spirit.

* Please note that tour dates do not include your flights to and from Tokyo, which will likely add one day at the front and back end of the tour. All air travel is the responsibility of the traveler. Personal travel insurance is strongly advised.
