Wonders of WashingtonApril 13-18, 2025

Join us for a carefully curated tour of Eastern Washington that includes iconic landmarks but also reveals little-known gems that encompass the true flavor of the area. Peer down from the top of the Seattle Space Needle, stroll through gleaming glass sculptures, glide on a monorail, search for Orca whales, try your hand at playing the guitar, connect with tribal residents, and sculpt your own ceramics on a beautiful island, all while traveling a path toward a more envigorating lifestyle with our skilled workshop leaders.

Day 1: A Warm Seattle Welcome

Upon arrival in Seattle, meet your airport transfer and check in at the chic Hotel Max. Your Sub Pop room includes a record player and a selection of vinyl. If you arrive early, you can explore downtown Seattle on one of Hotel Max’s free Shinola bicycles , enjoy some homemade ice cream, or choose a book from the spiritual book menu. Join in on a craft beer tasting in the lobby, meet for dinner inside the hotel at the Millers Guild, and cap off the night at the Paper Fan cocktail bar.

Day 2: Iconic Seattle

Spend the morning at the iconic Pike Place Market where you'll have time to shop, eat, and watch the famous fish-throwing demonstration. Next you'll ride the monorail to the Space Needle complex where you'll ascend to the top of the tower for spectacular views. You'll have a choice of Thai, Italian, Mexican, and French restaurants for lunch. Later, you'll meander through beautiful glass sculptures at Chihuly Garden and Glass, and finish the day with a visit to the MoPop Museum, where you can immerse yourself in exhibits covering fantasy, horror cinema, video games, pop music, science fiction, movie costumes, and more! Hang on for a wild dinner experience at the Dreamland Diner to round off an exciting day.

Day 3: Tiptoe Through the Tulips

Travel one hour by air-conditioned van to tulip country. During the ride, take part in a fun mini session on focus, creativity and imagination before visiting two amazing tulip fields:  Roozengarde Flower Market and Tulip Town. Take in a striped blanket of blooms as far as the eye can see. Weather permitting, you'll also be able to ride the "tulip trolley" through the fields. Enjoy lunch at the La Conner Waterfront Cafe and take some time to stroll through the quaint downtown shops before checking into your room at the charming La Conner Channel Lodge.  In the afternoon, ignite your musical curiosity with a group guitar lesson at Sound Resonance. In the evening you'll step into the past with an indy film matinee at the historic Lincoln Theater. Savor Cajun flavors at Poirier's on the River before returning to the lodge.

Day 4: Communing with Artists

After a cozy breakfast at the La Conner Channel Lodge, travel by ferry to Orcas Island, where you'll have free time to shop in the quaint downtown area and enjoy lunch at the New Leaf Cafe. Next, you'll embark on an art tour that will take you to several of Orcas Island's best art studios. You'll even get to create your own masterpiece to take home!  Check in at the Doe Bay Retreat, where you'll stay in a comfy yurt. Spend the evening enjoying the amenities at the retreat, including kayaking, hiking, massage, yoga, and outdoor soaking tubs. The Doe Bay Cafe offers a line-up of healthy dinner offerings. 

Day 5: Ancient Inhabitants

Embark on a morning whale watch and, conditions permitting, see these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Reconvene at Doe Bay for a lunchtime session on optimism and gratitude as well as free time for kayaking or relaxing. In the afternoon, connect with native tribe members from the area and learn their cultural story before enjoying dinner at the historic Rosario Mansion.

Day 6: A Fond Farewell

Ferry back to Seattle for your departure home. Transfer to the airport is included.

If you've booked a later flight, add on an optional Underground Seattle tour, a humorous stroll through intriguing subterranean storefronts and sidewalks entombed when the city rebuilt on top of itself after the Great Fire of 1889.
